Cesc Fàbregas believes Chelsea’s season is “being fucked” and admits
he has suffered sleepless nights over the champions’ poor start to this
campaign.
“The season is being fucked,” Fàbregas told Spanish media. “The results have not done justice to what we do on the pitch. We are doing things better but we’ve had no luck. We have to start winning now.”
Chelsea, who play Norwich on Saturday, lie 16th after 12 games with only three wins and 16 goals to their credit . Fàbregas insists the team stand four-square behind José Mourinho despite the slump.
“I cannot support him more than I am doing,” said the Spanish midfielder. “I am always saying he deserves it, 100%. We are not playing well but that does not mean we are not in favour of the manager or something like that.
“We want the club to be at the top and, someone like Mourinho who is having difficult times and the players, then you have to support each other and give your best.
“It has been really difficult. For me, the manager and some other players, we have always been lucky enough to play for big teams. Always trying to get to the top and always be fighting for things. In the Champions League we are still there.
